Hi,

I have a problem with Google Maps working through vodacom on a E66. When using a wireless network everything works 100% but using 3g it gives a page that says: Network unavailable: The current data connection is returning a web page instead of the expected data. Error: Bad Status; System Error 302.

It allows you to open this page in a browser which then looks like it cannot open the link: http://www.google.com/glm/mmap. It gives bad request error 400. But when you bookmark this page the bookmark looks like this: http://owbfe022.vodacommi.co.za/www.google.com/glm/mmap. Like I said, everything works fine when using a wireless network instead of 3g.

I cannot find an answer to this on the net. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've asked the engineers but in the mean time won't you see if you can remove the 'proxy' setting on your phone and try again?

Not sure if it'll make a difference, but worth a try.

Hi,

No change with or without the proxy server.

Well tonight I found out that this is only a problem in Brits NW. I went to Boksburg and it worked 100%...

And when I tried it now when I got back it also worked 100%. I will check and reopen this thread if the problem arises again.

Thanks for the quick responses.
