Google maps show my location totally wrong.

Ok I am not talking off by a few kilometers, I am talking wrong *****ing continent!. When in Cape Town CBD it show me as being in Paradise Nevada in some Steak House in a mall in Las Vegas. Any ideas what is causing this? When I'm at home then everything is perfectly fine.

Didn't you wish you actually WAS in that steakhouse? :p
 
I once installed a custom ROM and it screwed up my location. I was sitting somewhere in Hong Kong :D. I will admit it looked very similar to central Durban :p
 
Could be the co-ords are swopped? ie: longitude for lattitude? I utilised the google api in some of my code and if you pass the arguments in the wrong sequence it accepts them and shows you in the exact opposite spot :D

What kind of TV and computer you have ?
What time do you leave for work and what time do you return, and where do you hide your cash and valuables ?

Share your latitude location with me and then you can study my coming and going.

Ok. In the goodoldays we had a telephone directory with your telephone number and full adress.
That was before Fica and Rica and who knows what else.
You have to give to anybody and his dog your full particulars.
Who knows what your friendly shop assistant do with all this "valuable" information. After you bought that nice Tv, lounge suite and suround sound?

So what is your point of having a phone that tells all and sundry you are in a whore house in Mamelodi?

Weird thing was happening to me on Friday night while driving to a friends place. Google Nav were having trouble keeping my location on the road. It would veer of course and then suddenly jump back onto the road. My RAZR also has GLONASS. Which one do you think is better and how do you know which one your phone is using?

Your phone will use both at the same time, or a mix of the satellites.

Remember getting your location is not the phone asking where am I, its just a simple math calculation using the time from the satiates in the formula.

and we know how bad a simple decimal error can get ;)

Oh ok. Well...used Nav again after the latest maps update for the traffic and the problem seems to be gone. I still want the option to change it to a male voice. :D
