Sucks that they do that. I guess once LTE takes over in the US an LTE mifi device might be a good alternative.This factor won't matter to everyone - but if you travel to the US often (and use a T-Mobile SIM), you won't get 3g with the Galaxy, but will with Nexus devices. They've locked their 3g network down - if you didn't get your phone from T-Mobile, it's throttled. But Google apparently got the Nexus phones whitelisted.
(Mine is with Berco couriers, according to a call earlier today - waiting to hear what the customs/VAT bill is).
