Google Nexus 4

Why not just sideload it?

Well I got it this morning, so no need. Besides I don't want to mess with flashing because last time I had a custom ROM, it background downloaded an update over and over again and used up R300 airtime within a couple of minutes. Thank goodness I'm on prepaid.

Now my phone is being buggy in that when I press the on button, the screen will sometimes appear on and the switch off again...

Sideloading isn't the same as flashing the custom ROM- it's Google's recommendation if you don't get the OTA as early as you want to.

That sounds odd (the bugginess I mean). Maybe reboot into recovery and clear the dalvik cache?

I wouldn't say no to a Nexus 5 but the 4 is so powerful and nice there's not any glaring reason to upgrade

dont think im going to upgrade to nexus 5.Im happy with the 4 does have all the bells

I agree with you guys, but I will be upgrading because I actually want a less fragile device. That, and it being a new toy :D

The Iphone 4 felt more fragile to me. Got the dbrand titanium skin feels much solid. Putting mahogany on for festive season:love:

I was going to get the N5, but popped OmniRom 4.4.2 and Still loving my N4. may as well save the money. Only issues I have at the moment with my Nexus 4 is that I cracked the back, the power button is "fussy" (takes certain sweet spots to work), and having the original Nexus 4 that didn't come with the rubber nipples on the back, at times its hard to hear ringing or notifications from the speaker when lying flat on certain surfaces.

So N4 still the best phone I have had to date performance wise....

Mine has the rubber nipples but it still muffles the speaker when lying on its back...

Nipples and sounds being muffled when its lying on its back? For a second there I thought you were posting to the wrong thread
