Google Nexus 4

Ahh for the past 4 weeks I hardly took my phone anywhere besides work. it has 1 minor scratch on the back just above the LG logo. Remember, Nexus devices typically have good resale value just like the iPhone. Other Droids not so much. So keep it in good shape and your next upgrade wont be too painful.

crazymonkey159 where did you buy your case i'm looking for one. i like the nillkin blue

Got my Nexus from Zak (great service btw) and overall, I'm enjoying the phone. I'm just having troubles with the battery. I'm getting like 3 and a half hours of screen time which I think is pretty poor. My 3 year old iPhone 4 gave me 5 hours!

3.5 hours screen-on time sounds about right. The phone has a much bigger screen than the iPhone so battery usage will be higher. That said, there are ways to increase battery life, but then you lose some functionality.

Are any of the carriers planning to bring in the N4?

Due for upgrade and really want to go stock Android - hate the way the OEM manufacturers make you wait for o/s upgrades

I'm told that these inductive mats are not "globally standardized" yet. So be careful.

I know that the Nokia 920 mat, the Panasonic mat and LG Optimus G's mat works fine with the nexus 4 there are other Qi mats which for some reason do not work..

Screw it, I placed my order. R312; worth the risk. :)

Thanks Mikrouwel for the tip.

No probs :)

I got a reply from the company and they confirm that it works with the Nexus 4, in fact they said its specifically designed for the Nexus 4 :D

We'd like to recommend the following product which is designed specially for Nexus 4.

Hmmm interesting,

I watched this video were a Qi person explains that all the matts are designed to work with all the phones that support it.

Hope that helps :)

You might be able to, but I remember something about the billing address having to be in the US when researching a while ago.. A prepaid credit card might work.

Edit: Virtual CC doesn't work, but you can go through a proxy and use google wallet!

Details here -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1978281. It seems it has a 75% success rate.

Just want to thank you again for this seriously useful post.

The Nexus 4 is still out of stock in the US Playstore but I wanted a Nexus 10 also. Nexus 10 is actually in stock on the US Playstore.

Got a free 7 day UnoTelly trail account which got me onto the playstore. Ordered the Nexus 10 which has shipped to PostBox-Courier. Waiting for it to arrive in SA.

Will be doing exactly the same for the Nexus 4s because the price difference is huge.

Might post back with complete procedure if others are interested.

Let us know how much you have to pay customs please :)

Also did you buy insurance for your shipment from PostBox courier?

Thanks
