So, I got my Nexus 6!

And... wow, it's huge. I knew this intellectually, but my body wasn't prepared.

Oh well. It's not like I can send it back! I'll just have to make the best of it; do some hand-stretching exercises. Buy some bigger pants. Etc.

But seriously though; while the size take some getting used to, it also means that this phone is really good at certain things. The combination of huge screen and front-facing speakers makes it great for watching YouTube videos, listening to podcasts, and as an e-reader.

It's also a fantastic little portable gaming console. For the first time in ages, I've gotten back into Android gaming, and the scene seems to have really improved. Last time I tried it, gaming on Android was still rather flaky. But these days, developer support for features like Play Games integration and Immersive Mode seems to be the norm rather than the exception. It's awesome.

I dropped my phone and the screen is broken.

Does anyone know a place locally with replacement display assemblies? If not, what is the best solution here?

This is the problem when importing grey products.

Best would be to contact places like Orange (or other importers) and ask if they will be willing to assist. Else, your local indian / chinese cell shop could perhaps take a look at it. Alternatively, write it off and import or buy a new device locally.

Or just buy one off ebay?

Is 6.0.1 the latest update for this phone? I see 6.0 in a few searches but where does that fit into the list or is it the same update?

I receive Android 7 OTA update last week pushed straight to my Nexus 6. Battery life improved a little and some nice features like multi Window etc.

Loving the Nougat flavour :p
