I use it but I find it's much slower to connect for one thing, like sometimes it actually doesn't connect at all. And secondly it doesn't give enough information compared to the browser if I want to see details of a post. Also I can't upload photos easily on Tapatalk without resizing them first especially on MyBB, whereas on Chrome it's easy.

What sort of details doesn't it give? I can see who is posting, who they're quoting, I can follow the quote, check the poster's profile, PM the poster, see all multimedia content in the post, see the post number and time of post etc. The only shortcoming with Tapatalk is that it still doesn't have poll support, but that's an extremely minor annoyance to me.

I find Tapatalk is much faster for browsing forums than a web interface. Most of my forum interactions take place through Tapatalk for this reason. Not sure why yours would be slow.

I don't fully agree with this. It's faster for browsing forums on a mobile device- that I can agree to, despite issues regarding the UI of the app.

Tapatalk loads pages fast enough that it doesn't bother me. What makes Tapatalk much faster than a desktop web browser imo is how it keeps up with ongoing discussions. I can check up on a dozen threads in Tapatalk faster than I can check one in a browser. It's from that perspective that I say Tapatalk is much faster.
 
I thought Tapatalk resizes all of your uploaded pictures?

Yeah it's just not as simple to do those actions as it is on a full webpage. You need to do some hunting around to get user info and post history for instance.

I'm not sure why either but many times it just isn't loading pages while the browser is very quick. Tapatalk's major advantage for me is the fact that it's a much better optimized mobile forum experience.

Wow but this thread is just oozing with Nexus owners! :whistle: waiting for mine to come, hopefully by the end of the week and my dbrand skin is in the mail.

Has anyone ordered a dbrand skin and received it through our fantastic post office?

I got a titanium (brushed alum) with matt black and also a black carbon fibre with matt black, with matching skin for my ipad mini :)

So far I'm enjoying my Nexus.

Are there any special tips or tricks?
 
Wow, is it just me or does this phone sound weird as it vibrates when typing? It sounds like the whole thing is vibrating apart?!
 
Well, I ended up buying a Nexus 6. I was hoping to get the Nexus 6P, but I wasn't able to place an order before the US Google Store ran out of stock.

Still, I think the Nexus 6 still looks really good, and the pricing on Amazon is excellent. My new phone should get here in a couple of weeks. Very excited. Do you guys know if the included Motorola "turbo charger" works properly in South Africa?
 
Mine worked great, fastest charge seen on any phone I've had.

The one I got with my Nexus 6 worked like a charm , very fast . you will need a different plug though as it will come with the US type .

Congrats on the phone , a great device . Really loved mine , I am currently looking at going back to stock android or close to it after my Huawei Mate 7 got stolen . I like the Nexus 5X (Just worried about the 2gb Ram for my use) , The 6P looks great ,but it looks as if its going to work out to be fairly expensive (Im also weary of the 810 chip). Iv currently got my eye on a Nice Moto X Pure which is very close to stock android or I might even give the Moto X Play a go as I see they are dual sim .

Congrats! Hope you enjoy it. It looks like a great device. On eBay they retail for around R4k, which exclude around $25 shipping via Fedex and around $100 import taxes.

I see the Nexus 6P price started stabilizing and the 32GB is now available at an average price of around R9k. The 128GB around R14k, which is a lot better than the prices I saw last week! I am sure they will come down a lot more, at least I hope so.

They will...and then Zuma (or some other ZA ******) will open his mouth and they'll get so much worse.
