Google same-day delivery tested

Google Inc began testing a same-day delivery service with retailers in recent weeks, the latest move into Amazon.com Inc’s e-commerce turf by the world’s largest Internet search company.

This would be a service I'd make use of if it was available in SA. I mean who wouldn't want online stuff delivered same day at a reasonable price :)

Ebay has been trialing this in San Francisco... Its called Ebay now and you get your item delivered to you within an hour anywhere in the city. Awesome but has to be extremely localised

Takealot does same day delivery if you order before lunch time and the product is in stock. We've been having it!

Was thinking the exact same thing. Kalahari could learn a lot from them, sometimes your orders only arrive two days later.

There is a huge difference though. Online stores in America are cheap whereas Takealot is expensive. So you paying extra for the service

I think they could all take lessons from www.yuppiechef.co.za. Every one of my orders so far has been delivered same day or the following morning. They even hand write personalised thank you messages.
