I would not agree with your statement, if you look at the traceroute above from the Posix.co.za network, the routing is still international and as RPM said,its only available on the TENET network - pity. Do a tracert from your PC,still international routing ?

Ah of course, well then we'll have to wait for those routes to be added to these ISP's... wonder how long this is all going to take.

If this peering does happen, and it seems to be, would that mean that Google apps would be on local bandwidth? That would be great for many local businesses.

Just confirming chaps, the SAIX (Telkom) GGC IP cluster changed this morning. They are now using 165.165.38.2-165.165.38.59 it seems. Also, facebook.com does not seem to have an AKAMAI presence since this morning? (hopefuly it's a temporary problem?) -- fbcdn.net still seems fine though...
