Google services down ?

Can not get into gmail or google calendar this morning - everything else working - anybody having same issue

Just came here to see if anybody has the same problem. I'm on Vox ADSL, and tested Afrihost as well, no go. On my mobile via 4G, everything is ok though.

Apparently intermittent issue affecting some ISP's: Dear RSAWEB Customer, Our engineers have observed an intermittent issue accessing various Google apps including, Gmail, Google Maps, etc. The issue is 3rd party (Google) related and is affecting various ISP’s in South Africa. Yep here to (Vuma-Vox) Cape Town City. Just spoke with Vox and they said its all over SA with many ISP,s effected....

DNS is slow, GMAIL is dead, Google search is dead

Edit: after switching to Cloudfare for DNS all other Google services are blazing along like normal
