Google unveils Pixel C Android tablet

16:9 is terrible for productivity.

I agree, but I've never considered a tablet to be a tool for productivity. I've tried, I really have (Windows, iOS and Android, personally I have the Note 10.1" 2014 Edition), but for any decent work I end up having to cart my laptop around as well. I consider a tablet to be more of a toy than a workhorse.

Absolutely, but because it's a recreation device I'd prefer an aspect ratio better suited to recreational tasks, 16:9.

You watch movies/TV on your Tablet?

For answering emails on the move as well as other light tasks, a tablet is the answer.

Where it falls down is when you need to compile documentation - and for that a laptop or desktop is much better.

That is the primary use for a tablet for many people, especially useful when you are lying down in bed at night instead of wielding a laptop about clumsily.

I'm surprised you even asked that question.

That's probably my main purpose for it. You try lying on your back with your SO half on top of you while watching something on a laptop, I challenge you.

Not gonna lie, I also use it whenever I'm on the bog :D

Also with the tv/movie watching crowd.

That and a little social.

Used mine for work a few times but my cellphone works just as well and fits in my pocket.
