Hi All, I got a GoPro 3 that I use mostly on my mountain bike, but also when doing off road. What would be the best free software to use to edit videos that is users friendly. Problem is my operating system are still 32-bit and all software I am looking at are 64-bit. Should I do upgrades on my computer or are there software available that I can use. Thanks Hennie

You can use Hankbrake. It may be a bit difficult to work with but you will quickly get use to the functions.

Are you sure your PC is 32bit? Hasn't been the norm to install 32bit on a machine in the last decade about.
Are you running Windows XP? If yes, I do recommend you upgrade your operating system, there haven't been security updates in a long time, same for Windows 7. Go to W10/11.
For editing, usually recommend Davinci Resolve for most since free version is pretty good, but think it's 64bit.
Otherwise, probably use your phone, GoPro has an Android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gopro.smarty&hl=rsa&gl=US though unsure how much is buried behind subs.

Yeah, video editing you're dealing with a lot of footage, on Windows a 32bit app is stuck at a max of 2GB memory it can address, unless large address aware, then 4GB (well, on 32bit windows 4GB combined RAM+video memory - used by system will be addressible, though can't actually remember whether video memory was added to 4GB limit, think there was a patch on XP that sorted out video memory not counting to limit, been a long time; every PC I've had has been 64 bit since post 2010, started when I got an i7 970 end of 2010*), so it will be rare to find modern video software that's 32 bit.
