gorilla glass

sorry, i should have been more specific. it could have been the button (heard that wasn't as tough).
The whole front side is covered by a single sheet of glass. The scratching I have is in the top left area on the screen.

The be more specific, the light scratches are invisible when the screen is on. But there is one small scratch that you can make out with the screen on and feel if you move your fingernail over it.

I have a Galaxy S with gorilla glass and have always used a screen protector. Didn't want to take a risk. The screen still looks and performs great, even with the protector.

Additionally its extra protection if you drop the phone. The glass is less likely to break if you drop it with a screen protector on...

Guys, go search for gorilla glass videos on youtube. There's quite a few with the n8 that actually get tested for scratches and breakabilty. Just so you can get an idea of whats the limitations

i've watched a few of those now. but real-world "simulation" is different to the real world. nothing like the experiences of people who've used a phone daily for a year or so...

i just hate the thought of a cover of any kind. they always seem so... eugh to me :(
