Hey there sorry I had to post this like this but I don't really have the context of this problem other than the street name is Queen Bess Road, suburb Lansdowne.

Here is the feedback from the coverage guys

With regards to the query where client has erratic 3G coverage & often moves from 3G to Edge with DATA Connection, there is a simple explanation client is in a 3G covered area but on his street that he lives on, a certain part of that street is only Edge covered therefore he moves from 3G to Edge, I have copied and pasted the map below so u can have a look.

Hi MTNDD , dont make sense to me , i am picking up 3G from distant base (5-10km away)stations , yet the one closest to me 1-2 km (Kenilworth Centre) is not recieved .

In my opinion this is the real cause of the problem , the phone cannot hold onto 3G signal from the westlodge station , then switches to Edge .I have successfully made 3G video calls , so i dont "buy" the Edge explanation.

Sounds like my problem. I connect to a Rosebank mast even though there are 3 Masts in my area that does have GPRS but it wont connect. I had the same issue at home a while ago which seemed to have resolved itself, this is deducted from a call from coverage long after my connection started working again(see my topic "Request for coverage after 7pm").

Now, even having recieved NO feedback from coverage my service is working as good as before my complaint on the 12th Jan and theres still been no word from coverage.
