Got my Galaxy S3 today

Performance wise... Can you actually feel the difference between the S2 and the S3 speeds??

The spam was due to Jewel quest, its not email but it gives this star notifications that you've "won" something.

With the iphone switching between your email, web browser and any other app was seemless. But when I'm busy with an email and want to quickly do something else like google a fact. It creates a draft, so you are not always back where you were when you started. The webbrowser also reloads everytime rather than just keeping the content.

I do think I need to learn a lot about andriod still. Didnt see a tips and tricks thread here...can anybody point me to something like that?

On my HTC desire i dont have the issue when switching between mail and browser. Might be ICS thats automatically taking you out of your partially created email or a time issue, where it does this. I trust when you switching apps you holding the home key, rather then pushing the the back button. If you hold down the home key, you should be able to see all apps which are running.
 
One thing that I've become used to on my iPad is pushing the the big button twice to bring up tasks. I keep finding myself doing the same thing on my S3 and bringing up S Voice, I can't wait for a mod to change that functionality.

Just disable it

Go to s-voice -> settings -> launch s-voice -> untick.
 
I got mine yesterday Loving it:love: except for the screen that gets dirty very quickly.I need a protective cover.

I got used to that too, on my desire HD you hold down the home button to bring up the multitasking menu, isnt it the same on the S3?
Waiting impatiently for mine to arrive :/

You can always call it Siri if you want. Or any other name for that matter. If I ever have to get one, I'll bring up S-Voice by calling it Caroline or Hal. (you can change what phrase brings up S-Voice, in case you didn't know that already)

hows the size of the s3? im seriously considering getting 1 but the only thing making me doubt it n getting the iphone instead is the size of the s3. i dnt like having my jeans/pants pockets full n buldging.. i hate big key rings etc.

Ahh see my jeans are always bulging :p
Size wise its way thinner than than an iphone but quite a bit bigger. I was just comparing a 4s to mine and the screen on an iphone looks like a toy compared to it.

I did the same with the One X today. Waiting for my buddy to get his s3 so I can compare the two side by side.
Another colleague of monger has the s3 and I played around with it before I got my phone. The screen actually looked amazing, I couldn't fault it. Well be interesting to compare side by side though.
