Got MyWireless modem but can only access Sentech

I got my modem and installed the software but:

My e-mail is working OK
I can only access www.sentech.co.za and no other URL
Technical support of Sentech could not help

(I used my modem connection to Atlantic to do this posting)

Any suggestions?
 
Check your modem BIOS version in the "Device" tab on the dialer... then post it here if possible...

Why do you have to "put your two cents in"... but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?
 
The modem hardware

Modem Software
Application: 4.2.1.1/A1(2.0)/A2(2.0)
Bootloader: 4.2.1.1


But I visited Fascom and Renier de Klerk tested the modem on one of their accounts and tested on of their modems on my account without any problems.

Then he suggested I must check the registry settings:
My Computer
Hkey_Local_Machine
Software
IPWireLess Inc
IPW PC Software
<whatever>_USER = <your Sentech User_ID>
<whatever_PWD = <your Sentech password>
REG_REQ = No

I installed the software on another PC at work and changed the registry settings (REG_REQ was yes) and it works.

So hopefully that was my problem at home.

Okay, hopefully it is... strange though

Also check your IP when @ home, you should have a 66 range IP and not a 10 range IP address (think they changed it since I signed up, not sure)

Had the same problem, the resolution is mtu settings, do a search for dr tcp mtu , use the settings posted in the thread, remember to reboot before trying after you make the changes, it worked for me, thanks to the help of some guys on the forum. hope you have the same luck.
 
It is now also working at home. I had to re-install the software and re-adjust the registry settings.
