Only problem I had with Axxess, was the constant disconnects that kept happening while I was trying to play Battlefield etc.

I just spoke to bonga from telkom support live chat
She said that things wont change for the contract / month to month people. Its mostly prepaid . Given the history of Telkom employees and their correctness of info on new products being launched . Take it with a cup of salt and vingegar.
im on R99 2.5+7.5 night data and i need the night data for big updates

I'm on prepaid though
waiting for telkom to give us a friggen wifi router. they came to install a landline here but then told us that there's no infrastructure (after we applied like 3 years ago and they called us a few weeks ago to tell us they can actually do it now, which they couldn't)RichardG

For people who make use of their night surfer gigs this is a bit of a slap in the face. 3 gigs used to cost R139 now it is R199. Percentage wise that is a huge increase.

It means you can also use the data on MTN 3G and 2G network. So you can force it to MTN permanently and the data will still work. Before Telkom Mobile only data only worked on Telkom towers which they do not have a lot off. They have a decent amount of towers but not like MTN.

No, actually, I'm comparing data with data.
120 GB cost me R1 800, if I want a similar amount in future it will cost well over double.

Nope. He is right.
Not for a person that was always forced to buy the more expensive all networks data. For them the new data prices are awesome. Or the people that are on contract but never had Telkom coverage and was forced to either pay the expensive all network data rates switch mobile data off.
For the people making use of the Telkom only bundles its is punch in the gut of note.
I'm on the 10+10GB R199 contract - I never use the 2nd 10GB - you can't equate nite saver to normal data
