Exactly this. The list of foods that "can cause" gout, is so long that I would need to live on water alone.
For interest sakes: how many mg are you on currently? I'm on 400mg, but my doc says he has clients up to 900mg
900mg...crumbs! Fortunately I'm on only 100mg/day so I'm not too fussed.
I quit smoking (8 days ago), so I may have to revisit the dosage as smoking has an effect on gout. Strangely enough, smoking apparently helps prevent gout attacks!
