The government has overturned a decision made under former president Thabo Mbeki not to support class action for apartheid reparations from eight US-based companies

Radebe said the government would like to resolve the matter outside the courts.

The companies being sued by Khulumani and 13 individuals are Barclays, Daimler, Ford, Fujitsu, General Motors, IBM, Rheinmetall and UBS.

I have a vague understanding of the whole thing. There's a class action in USA against the companies that stayed (and actually prospered) while the Nats were in charge.

Of course the current government will overturn it, they need another cash cow to add to the herd... If this is successful the flood gates will open.

Hey their fore fathers ( if you believe the history of Africa) emigrated down to the southern parts of Africa, They can sue i can sue ........ Why did they discriminate against my great great great grandad and sent him here? And if he chose to come here they should prove it and compensate me for not informing him better on his options.

And while we are at it if i can prove that my forefathers were buried in Versailles I want it back please plus all the treasures that were looted and all the income there after.
