GPRS disconnects intermittently

Hi,

Can someone at Vodacom please tell me why my GPRS connection keeps on disconnecting every few hours. I'm using a GPRS modem with build in "keep alive". I also used the GPRS MTN network and did not see the same problem with them. My location is Kenilworth, Cape Town.

There could be a host of reasons, best bet would be to call (082) 155 and log it with them. Or else log a call on-line via 4me.

I have been noticing the same thing today with Vodacom GPRS. Very annoying and reminiscent of dial up. (Im in Durban)

I've also been experiencing the same problem with Vodacom GPRS in Green Point, Cape Town...the signal goes on and off- especially at night.

Hi, what version firmware are you guys using? I had some issues with the Novatel, similair type of things, GPRS just stops etc, try flashing to version 14.2, I think this is the one available on the website if V3G will confirm ?

been at my office all day in kloof been connected all day. I suppose it depends on wether "your" tower is in a good mood. Some days better than others.

But lately been no problems.
