:D Do you think GPRS/EDGE wireless card with PCMCIA and USB interfaces will be a hot product in South Africa? Now I have low cost modems, do you think it's a good business to do?

Hmm, possibly but remember we already have 3G & HSDPA. Edge & GPRS will only sell if its cheap cards. Would have to be under $100 to get any attention.

I believe there is a strong market in South Africa for a low cost GPRS modem. Probably external would be better.

Can you post or PM me more information on your product? Vodacom would be interested in certifying a GPRS modem to bring wireless comms to more low(er)-end users.

Maybe throwing a spanner in the work but isn't that what Gogga Connect offers ? Been looking into them but they seem to just be reselling Vodacom GPRS/3G Contracts ?

Yup, but they charge R1450 for a modem alone. I would never pay that for a simple GPRS/EDGE modem.

I would however pay R600
