Hi!

Just started playing around with my Tiger MacBook Pro, and am having some trouble using my phone as a 3G modem. Got bluetooth pairing going, using Nokia infra-red as the modem type. I am trying *99# as the phone number, and I can see on the phone the 3G logo get the two arrows underneath it, but dashed, which you see when its attempting to connect.

It then goes away, and the macbook says disconnecting.

Anyone gotten this working ?

Hi. What network are you wanting to connect to? If MTN / Vodacom, PM me and I will send you a modem script. If Virgin / Cell C PM Amazulu for instructions on how he cracked it. JayN

The scripts being used actually hardcodes the phone number for Vodacom (well the scripts I use in any case). Your phone number field will then be used for the actual APN you are using (internet or internetvpn).

Do a search on the forum, as the links to the scripts have been discussed previously (by one of the bwana versions), or pm JayN :D

I need to connect to Vodacom. I'd appreciate you sending me the script(s) :-)
