GPRS settings for iphone

Hi

I have an iphone I purchased in the USA and have had it unlocked/jailbroken. I am battling to get my internet / email up and running. Does anyone have a similar problem and know what the APN, username and password settings are?

One last try. Info direct from my phone.

APN:- myMTN
Username:- {blank}
Password:- {blank}
Authentication:- Normal

Just enter "internet" for the APN - leave out the quotes and leave the username and Password blank.
 
none of these seem to work unfortunately...i guess its the phone?
 
Ok got it to work. Thanks alot MTN DD! I had to disable data roaming and 3G under settings on the phone (after i had put in internet next to the apn) and then turn the phone off. After switching the phone on I then enabled 3G and data roaming again and it worked. It didnt want to work if I left the phone on and disabled and then enabled it with the new settings or turned the phone on and off with the settings still enabled...weird. Anyway thanks for the help, much appreciated!
 
I have the same issues getting my iphone's internet to work. MMS is working fine after Virgin Mobile send me the settings. After several attempts and conversations with their customer service, internet still not working.
Help please....
 
Got my Iphone from MTN yesterday and just can't get the internet to work, I have tried everything, so frustrating!!!

Edit: Well phoned MTN again and managed to speak to someone that knows what going on, apparantly my data bundle included with the contract has not been activated, it will now take another 2 -24 hours.

The actual activation of the simcard was also a mess, had to phone after 24 hours to get it sorted out, really not a good start with MTN...
