GPrS

What game?

And no, gprs is too slow for anything except twitter, mxit and the occasional quick post on myadsl...

You can play Eve Online using GPRS.

But no, unfortunately GPRS is a little too slow. EDGE/3G would work fine.

I have played GW on GPRS.
It is doable and your signal must be good. GPRS suffers from high latency, but yes, it will help with the GW fix if you need it :D

56k analogue works too in fact ^^

It's not much slower than dialup, something like 1Kbps slower and Guild Wars is perfectly playable on a 56K line.

It has been said before... this is the Guild Wars sub-forum anyway.
GW = Guild Wars
Lydon mentioned Eve Online can be played too.

It is unfortunate that not everyone in SA stays in the middle of Hatfield, or some such similar hubbub centre, surrounded by Mobile Data towers, sometimes the best you can get is GPRS / EDGE. Not every place has good reception.

The network plays a role too, for me MTN is better than Vodacom, especially for reception. I had times Vodacom couldn't even connect due to their towers being below my house, etc. Yes, it's true. :(

He still hasn't said which game... 1 post wonder

What on earth? This is a thread about Guild Wars in the Guild Wars section. That's what game he/she is talking about.

And secondly, why the attacks on the OP? He asked a simple question but instead of adding anything of worth you, who seems to not even know what Guild Wars is, stroll in and troll the guy. Wtf?

Has it ever occured to you that maybe the OP doesn't have access to a 3G/HSDPA modem, or possibly does not have coverage?

hey..you can take me on about this but leave Hatfield out of it..haha

Geez people...the poor dude is probably now to scared to even post his ign!
Shame on you guys!!!...and for the unbelievers...you can play GW on basically any connection as long as you are able to stand the lag.
