GPS Data Logger for camera

Me too!

EDIT - how do these work? By comparing the time of the photo with the time/location of the GPS?

Pretty much.
U have to remember to sync them though.
Especially if you're flying or driving.
The Sony one came out a year or so ago, didn't know about the others.

Sony's stuff tends to not work with Apple though.

lol, bwana - thought you might even know with all your expert skills in photography (even did a search on MyADSL before I posted!)

It seems like GREAT nerdy toys :D Yes, it seems to map GPS location with date time on photos. The GPS data logger, logs at intervals, date&time and obviously geo-location. Some can record additional data such as altitude (although I'd expect that from a GPS  and more.)
(Glad I could post something that is "fresh":p )

lol - I saw one a few months back at HiFi and wondered about it (read immediately wanted!).

Unfortunately the missus has put a hold on my gadget allowance for the foreseeable future - too much camera stuff last year I guess :D

bwana, based on those link that I posted, which one would you pick and why?

If I had to pick one based on what I've read it would be the GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr because it specifically mentions support for Flickr.

On the other hand none of them mention being mac compatible so I'd have to keep looking. :o

The GiSTEQ is also currently my no. 1 selection. They have 3 models although it actually seems more like 2 with the 3rd being just a software upgrade. I like the RAW format option. My biggest "negative" point will be the Sync via a PC with the camera (although it says once off). Traveling by plane to another continent might imply that I connect up to a PC again to sync - not sure. I haven't found any decent comparative articles yet - still searching, but the bed is calling loud!

These GPS trackers are a serious toy. What reason does one use to justify its cost to our other halves who are not toy mad?
