I am currently using waze for navigation on my phone.
Just want to find out what other good programs are out there and you guys are using.

I'm using Sygic, very nice app with regular free map updates. (it's a paid app but worth it) It's great for offline navigation, especially where there's no cellphone reception and no need to pre-cache maps.

I use Waze for most of my commuting. On a recent trip down the N3 South, a waze user on the same road warned of a speed trap. Saved my bacon :). Was going "only" 140, but still useful. Also like the idea of being rerouted around traffic problems.

Only disadvantage is that coverage is a bit spotty in some outlying areas. Then I use Sygic to get where I want to go.

I use TomTom and its absolutely amazing! Offline maps so can be used in areas without signal... Yes its not free but its brilliant :)

+1 for Sygic.
Paid R380 for 2 licenses recently (special)

Isn’t there a program where you can plan your route beforehand and then just follow the GPS ?

I also just use Google maps. Waze seems interesting but the fact that it looks like it was designed for a LeapPad puts me off a little...
