GPU cooling advice

Hi guys, i have an XFX 8800GT i want to cool down, its running at 640mhz clock but ive heard the XXX edition spinds at 700mhz, ive heard that propriety cooling solutions are the way to go, especially if you want to oc , what options / price range am i looking at?

Yeah, the stock cooler is rubbish.

I vote for either the Thermalright or the Zalman.

Remember for both you also need a 8800GT plate for the Cooler to work properly

Pardon? I'm using a Zalman VF900-Cu on my XFX "Extreme Ed." (the 640MHz one) and didn't need an "8800GT plate". It is 100% compatible with the 8800GT.

I used the Thermalright HR03 Plus on my 8800GTX - It resulted in a 30 degree drop @ idle temps.

Flog it and get hold of the ASUS 8800GT package ... damn it's got cooling sorted.
