Got it, Love it, just a bit loud if that matters :)

Great, thanks. Nope, My room sounds like a server room as it is, Something calming about sufficient cooling :p

What PSU are you using with it? Looking at an xfx 550w, bronze. I figured it should power it fine?

Haha great, I'm using a Corsair Tx650. Using that PSU should be fine :), but I'm sure someone else here would be able to confirm that for you.

Like he said....doooo iiiiiit... If you can, just do it/

What do you guys think of this card:

http://www.wootware.co.za/powercolor-ax7870-2gbd5-2dhppv3e-radeon-hd-7870-myst-edition-tahiti-le-2gb-256-bit-gddr5-pci-express-3-0-x16-desktop-graphics-card.html

It doesn't say it is the XT, but it has the same specs, and has the Tahiti architecture. Also, I don't know the brand, but the price is good?

Yeah, the tahiti LE is the other name for the XT :) I almost got it.

I got this one:

650ti boost or Regular 650ti?

the 7790 is inbetween the 650ti and the 650ti boost.

Hmm, wasn't aware there are two different ti's >.>. Ti Boost is the faster of the 3 then?

edit: the 7790 seems a lot cheaper though...

I'd love to own one of these, but I'm waiting on the wholesalers to stock it

Edit. Rectron are taking pre-orders on the GTX 780. model GV-N780OC-3GD at R7799.00 Ex

I just picked up a 7790... yeah I go through a lot of cards. Anyway I'm quite impressed. It's insanely small, like half the size of a 6850, but still faster. And has the lowest power consumption of like...any card, ever. I'd xfire these happily. Anyway it's just a temp, I should be getting a 570 next week or so and then we'll see again.

Yeah, I have honestly been dumbstruck by some AMD cards, it is one of the reasons I only buy AMD cards. I bought a 5670 a while back. It is a low end card and only cost me 1k. I initially only bought it because i needed to hook up 3 monitors to a pc for coding. That same card is still going strong today, and I managed to play most of the latest games on medium settings, including far cry 3. It struggled with crysis 3 of course, but very impressive for a R 1 000 card.

no it isnt at all. Sorry, I qouted the wrong message there. I meant ti refer to jimmy's post about the 780

Well, if you're upgrading from 680 Sli (like me). Then it's much more cost effective to run 2 of these than 2 Titans. Just saying :erm:

Finally, the exciting parts of the Nvidia 700 series lineup are coming to light, and at a price that it would be a strong contender for my next rig (if its short enough)

And if this week goes the way I hope it does, I'll do a major update on the charts. Quite a few midrange cards have snuck in, and I'll add in the GTX780 of course :D
