Grabit - Vista problem!!

Hi every1,

I need help regarding Grabit in Vista. Have a D-link ADSL modem setup with a WRT54GL wireless router. Modem is set to bridge and ISP settings go into the Router setup. Internet works 100%. I can ping news.is.co.za no problem, but I am thinking that its something blocking Grabit directly. My grabit doesnt want to connect to news.is.co.za. I use my Webafrica local account in trying to d/l from the news server, but it doesnt connect. I need advice please, Im desperate! I would appreciate any help.

It was probably busy the last few days due to everyone trying to blow their cap.

So you dont think it has anything to do with Vista blocking it? BTW, I havent bee able to connect to IS news server since I got my ADSl which is 2 weeks ago.

Vista can not block it.
Maybe add Grabit to your Firewall safe list.

Also make sure that your antivirus isn't blocking Grabit.

What AV are you using. I know Avast blocks it.

Solved the problem people. It was a user error. My local account is a SAIX account....oops The SAIX news server works 100%. Thanks for all the advice though.

Why not get the IS local from Webafrica? R130 for 30Gb
