Grand Theft Auto 6

In the past publishers modified their games for specific regions to get around bans. Carmageddon comes to mind where they had green blood for some countries. I think something similar might happen here. It's almost impossible to have one release that will satisfy every countries ratings/standards, unless you want a very bland game.

Rockstar May Have Granted Terminally Ill Fan’s Wish To Play GTA 6 Before Passing

In December, a Ubisoft Toronto developer posted on LinkedIn with a heartfelt, emotional message. The developer, Anthony Armstrong, revealed that a member of their family had been battling cancer ‘for years’ and had been given the news that nobody ever wants to hear: they had months left to live.

Armstrong explained that they were a huge GTA fan, but the final timeline meant that they wouldn’t get to play Grand Theft Auto 6 after years of waiting. It was recently confirmed by Armstrong that they’d finally managed to talk with Rockstar Games and that they’d received ‘great news’ and issued thanks to the developer.

Gamer with Months to Live May Get to Play GTA 6 Early

The post on Anthony Armstrong’s LinkedIn page was deleted after final adjustments were made, keeping followers updated about the situation. It has been theorized that this was due to some kind of legal requirement, given that the post almost confirmed that the family member would get hands-on with GTA 6 early.

not saying that it is the case here, but it is most certainly a vector. Nobody knows the arrangement behind this, so meh. It could all have been made up as well. In such an instance, it would have been a controlled environment in any case, unless someone did not care about protecting their IP.

Who reaches out in public in such a way on LinkedIn???

... yes. Watching the gamestore leak as I type this.
There's another one?

3 vids in 1 day. I've only watched the beach one. I think I'll wait now for the official netflix thing on youtube.

I wonder if that means you can buy video games in the game to play on your in-game console (which is apparently a JoySystem 8)...

Doubt it.

Only saw a popup/action for buying earbuds, headphones and phone cases

The way I see it the leaker doesn’t actually have a playable version. I think he just got hold of some recorded footage that’s over a year old and is now using it to try pump and monetize his sh*tcoin. Also, the moment there’s money involved, chances of him being caught goes up significantly.

Game looks decent though. Didn't expect anything less though.

Lol, PC compatible version is a strange way of saying the PC version.

He’s clearly playing with a controller, though. You can tell by how clunky the movements are.

Reason I say compatible is that Rockstar has always said that PC versions will take a couple more years to deliver on. They did the same with GTA5.

Obviously we need to question if Rockstar is/was telling the truth about whether a PC version was actually behind or if they target console release first for another reason (you have 1 guess as to what that might be) and need a excuse to justify the PC delay.

That theory fell apart when he spelt out the name LEEK by shooting the wall... He had access to a playable build previously or he still does.

Some speculation it's just up to a certain point, so while the world is accessible he doesn't have access to Lucia post-prologue

In one of the vids there is an objective that says "Return to Lucia". So he does have access to her in some sort of way. Whether he has access to more story or a playable Lucia, we'll have to wait and see.

They target console release first. Its deliberate. Console is their largest player base. Console is also responsible for a ****ton of their monthly earnings. GTA 5 microtransactions brought in 35m every month.

So, please remember to buy your Shark Cards.

On the flipside of the coin in PC land we don't do microtransactions. We have full inventories, shoot laser beams, fly around in spaceships and run around in stripper skins from mods and it doesn't cost us a penny.
