Graphics Card Advice

Hi i'm wanting to buy a new graphics card, i have two choices, i can get the nvidia GTS 450 or the Radeon HD 6670. which is better for gaming?

There are a few HD 7xxx series cards which are also quite affordable.

I mean what is the resolution of your screen?

You'll be disappointed with the performance of either of those cards for any kind of new game. Save, push budget somehow. Or go 2ndhand.

Might be pushing your budget a bit, but for me your best bet is to get a GTX 550Ti : @R1375

+1 to Nakedpeanut's suggestion.

If you've got a budget of just R1200, then stick with it and go for the Gigabyte HD7750. You won't be disappointed!

The HD6870 is a better graphics card. It costs R500 more (40% more expensive), but it can give you 50% more performance than the HD7750.
I would only recommend the HD6870 if you're playing your (new) games on a high detail level at 1920x1080 AND if you already have a fast CPU + enough RAM (at least 4GB).
