i have a P4 intel 3.60
1024 memory
250 gb harddrive

thanks in advance

What type of graphics do you have? AGP or PCI Expres? ;)
In any event, get a Nvidia Geforce 6600GT or 6800GS, both come in AGP and PCIE

Edit: Follow supersunbird below, he will help you nicely, he's also into hardware sales :)

Hi

Who told you to replace it and why? What do/did you have? Just wondering...

Do you know what slot type of graphics card slot your motherboard has (AGP or PCI Express)? What is your have a budget in mind (R3000, R6000)? What are your current favorite games you play?

EDIT: We can figure out what slot your motherboard has if you know the motherboard model number...

Well i'd assume he has PCI-Express with that PC, but it all deends on your budget. Its hard to randomly pick a card without knowing how much you can afford or want to pay.

A 7900GT/7600GT isnt a bad place to be at the moment though.

hi guys

i aint really sure what type of cardas i am still a newbie to computers but there was a whizzing noise from a fan and had a computer repair guy tell me that the small fan on the graphics card is whizzing and needs to be replaced but i have to replace the card

the pc i have is a fujitsu siemens scaleo T computer hope that helps

am lookin to spend about R1000.00 - R 2000.00

Why replace the card just cos the fan is "whizzing". Just replace the fan ... unless you WANT something better.

i dont think the graphics card that comes with the fujitsu computers are too good...maybe im wrong but anyways.......

yeah a nvidia 7600gt prob would be best for you in the price range you looking at.

graphics card

i installed everest and here is the info hope its ok

Motherboard Properties:
Manufacturer FUJITSU SIEMENS
Product D1826-G
Version S26361-D1826
Serial Number 15259523

Both of the following cards will be supurb at gaming, choose which one fits your budget:

XFX T71G-UDL , geforce 7900GT standard edition , Quad-SLi support , Pci-E 16x , 256mb 256bit DDR3 , 24 pixel shader engine , core/memory : 450/1320mhz , 2 x dvi ( Dual Link DVI - digital output up to 2560x1600 ) , HDTV tvout - retail pack with bundle game
R2890

XFX T71F-YDL , geforce 7900GTX standard edition , Quad-SLi support , Pci-E 16x , 512mb 256bit DDR3 , 24 pixel shader engine , core/memory : 650/1600mhz , 2 x dvi ( Dual Link DVI - digital output up to 2560x1600 ) , HDTV tvout -retail pack with bundle game
R4590

For R2040 you can get:
ASUS EN7600GT/2DHT , SLi support , Pci-E 16x , geforce 7600GT , 256mb 128bit DDR3 , 12 pixel shader engine , core/memory : 560/1400mhz , 2 x dvi , HDTV tvout

For R1200 you can get:
XFX T73P-UDSX geforce 7600GS Extreme edition + Silencer ( passive cooling , no noise ) , SLi support , Pci-E 16x , 256mb 128bit DDR2 , 12 pixel shader engine , core/memory : 500/900mhz , 2 x dvi , tvout

The 7600GT is much faster than the 7600GS because of its faster memory....

I think screw the XFX part ( performance gain from brand names is tiny, while the price increase definatley is not) and get a 7900GT from Chaintech or some other smaller but not too terrible brand.

If you cant afford it, then go for a 7600GT, both will be excellent gaming cards especialy compared to what you are used to with that PC. A Colorful 7600GT is only R1699, is just over R300 more worth it for Asus? it will not show much performance gain, and the bundled software is usually just discarded and pretty old by the time you get it. Same for the games if there are any.

sorry this is a bit of topic but anyways.....

i have a xfx 7900gt, 256mb. can i use a chaintech 7900gt 512mb with this in sli? or do thay have to have the same amount of memory?

Firstly, does the guy NEED a new graphics card.

If you dont NEED a new one and the only reason for replacing is because of the fan, just get another fan.
