I got a Nvidia Geforce card that i've inserted into my pc. however when I start up the pc I get no signal from my monitor using the onboard vga, if I remove the card, the pc boots up fine.

What am I doing wrong that the pc won't boot up with the card inserted and also what can I do to get it to boot up so that I can properly install the card?

Install gfx card in system, (ie push card in socket), secure with screw, close case, connect monitor to NEWLY installed DVI/D-Sub port. (From this point don't use onboard gfx port, motherboard will disable automatically)
Push start buttom, wait until windows loads up and install driver from cd, or load newest driver from internet.

thanks A3, problem was motherboard wasn't picking up new card automatically so had to change bios settings
