Graphics Card Problem

When browsing at about 37 degrees. I don't think it is the temp because earlier today I played NFSMW for about 2 hours all settings on high and it ran smoothly.

I also think it is a hardware problem. Just want to be 100% sure before I send it back.

Best way to find out would be to pop it into another machine i guess, and see whether it does the same thing

Maryjane,
It looks as if it could be a monitor issue.
If you can try switch teh monitor and see if the problem goes away?
Obviously this only applies if you do have another monitor to switch to lol, wouldnt want you to go buy another!

Also try some older drivers. I've had problems on my 6800 with some newer drivers for some unknown reason. 7645 was very stable and I still use it on the one OS.

Ouch dude. 76 is very old.

81.95 is current. There are some definite performance improvements for the 6 series cards in the 8 series drivers.

GO to the site of the people that make your mainboard - Download the latest bois update - along with the Nvidia card update.

Flash your bios and it will all be working.

I know, but like I said it's very stable. Some of the later drivers had a weird effect on all my video files, but it probably clashed with other software 'cause I've got 8195 on my other OS and it works fine. Worth a try for MaryJane though.

I was using older drivers when the error started occuring. Thought that the updated drivers would solve the issue. Thanks for the suggestions guys, will give them a try.
