Rain will bill you even if you cancelled the service. They increase your spend limit so you can have usage to pay for.

It's a self service... They service you account themself. and change your spend limit to a nice big figure...

I had that happen to me too . I set it to R400 maximum. next moment it's over R400.. somehow it went to R1000 limit. (set by their system)

Same happened to me. I never set my capped limmit and it was on 0. I login and see my limited was over 2gb. I will not pay and I blocked rain from my debit and if they manage to do a debit order I will reverse it from my banking app. Tired of there crap support and 2g speeds

Still not sure what is going on. Have two rain uncapped sims and the spend limit stays the same.
I even switched my router off before 6 and on at 11. My data is been used during that time and rain staff don't know **** about what's happening. I contacted them now and asked them what's happening with the speed as I am getting 0.8mb download for the passed 2 weeks and they say technicians are on site as it's due to load shedding but for 2 weeks. Bull crap.

Router must've still been on but yes if your speed suck just cancel. My speeds are great for the price I pay.

Here we go: I set the peak limit to R0

I used the SIM for a while - peak came and I was not cut-off. Usage was logged out of peak and my limit was raised by R2

Anybody here understand what's being said in post #1 or #2?
What's hard to understand?
OP is saying Rain automatically resets your limit to something higher than what you originally requested. For example, this month I set my limit to 1 gig, so I only have to pay R50 for that 1 gig usage. Then next month that limit automatically goes up to 5 gigs, even though you requested only 1 gig.
I know because it happened to me, now I check my dashboard on the first of each month to see if my limits are still the way I set it. Funny thing is I have 3 sim cards and this only happens with one of those 3 sims. ‍♂️

Still can't understand whats going on lol . never had such a problem for over a 8 months since i started using rain

Also never had a problem till like December. Now that I'm for the first time trying to raise some issues it feels like nothing is happening.

So confused.
