@waylander Just wanted to ask did they deduct the amount from your account or is this just what your dashboard is showing what you are being billed for? Reason for me asking is that I've seen plenty of people on Twitter complaining about having the same issue and Rain's response is that it's simply an issue on their side and you won't get charged for it.

Common glitch that happens to me a lot and i'm never billed for it.

Happened o me on my 4G sim too. Rain rep told me there is a bug in the portal that would allow the usage to be bumped up instead of capping the sim card during peak time IF there has ever been a declined payment or IF payment details has been updated.

Last info I got on it is that it has not been fixed yet. Very disappointing and OP has a very good point. IF you scheduled some downloads or the connection does not get capped but windows or some game decided to download and update you suddenly get the extra peak usage.

This usage indeed gets added to the following months bill which is very unfair and would require endless emails and call to have a credit passed to the account to offset the incorrect billing for peak usage. The fact that it has not been fixed yet is just sad.

@rpm @Bradley Prior Should actually do an investigation on the matter and get some info from the CEO Michael because he likes making posts about other companies when his own is so badly run. Faulty spend limit. No backup power for 5G towers ect ect.

Why not install solar at 5G towers and save on electricity and able to keep the 5G tower online during loadshedding.

Ohh might have my names mixed up my mistake but yeah none the less we want answers.

Ohh yeah you are correct Willem is the CEO. Michael is well what you said. Funny he got his own @rain.co.za email that he uses. Would have thought he would use bank zero email considering he started that venture.
