I need recommendations for a skilled and experienced maxillofacial surgeon. I am happy to travel wherever to get the best. 7 years ago I had my one lower wisdom removed and it was advised that we leave the other one as it was too close to the nerve and there could be damage to the nerve when removing the tooth. Unfortunately that wisdom is now causing trouble and I need to have it removed. I'm not worried about bedside manner, just the skill of the surgeon. I would like to mitigate the risk of nerve damage by selecting the right surgeon. Google brings up every doc with a website and again, I'm not worried about flashy doctors - just the skill! Please recommend doctors that you know of! Thank you in advance.

To make your life easier it’s worth mentioning what city you are in

Dr Dulabh at Wilgeheuwel Hospital, Roodepoort, is absolutely brilliant. Friendly and entertaining, and super skilled. He pulled two of my wife's molars in 5 min without her feeling a thing (she didn't even realise he'd anaesthetized he till she asked if she could feel her cheek). My wife is super twitchy about dentists, so she's been singing his praises.
