Great support from Billion

Hi folks

Just a quick heads-up on the great support I've received from Billion/Nology and their distributor Ingram Micro.

I've been struggling with a 7402NX that randomly resets itself a few times every day. It's a router with very good features (3G, wireless-n, GigE) so I didn't want to get another type without exhausting all possibilities. Tech Support at Nology were very helpful and when it became apparent that it may be a faulty unit they (and Ingram Micro) were very helpful in facilitating an exchange unit.

Regrettably the problem with resetting persists :mad:, but we'll keep looking for the answer.

PS. I'm not affiliated to these companies in any way - I just think that, with all the complaints we see about bad service in the Broadband industry, it's appropriate to point out the good guys from time to time!
 
I have that same modem. VERY HAPPY WITH IT!!!

Does it reset by rebooting or is it just resetting the connection. With mine it was resetting the connection all the time. Eventually I disabled my VPN connections in to our office and everything just started to work fine.
 
It first freezes (no response to browser) then a couple of minutes later it reboots itself (all lights go out, then restarts).

However, once it has restarted it's useless and must be cold started.

I'm not using VPN, but I am using wireless, Ethernet and ADSL (I leave the 3G USB unpluggged unless needed).

I would have hoped the Error log would provide clues, but it's always empty.
