I'm looking for a green screen pass through thing!

quick explanation:
The computer generates white writing on a black background. I'd like the black background to be replaced with a signal coming from a video camera.

Sure; I could get a video capture card and do it all in one on the PC, the trouble is I need one output with the black background, and the another with the video.

Edit: this is the type of thing I'm looking for, anything cheaper?

You can do that on Premiere, After Effects or Final Cut Pro without additional hardware.

However, your best place to look for hardware solutions may be:

They ship to SA. Expandore will require a money wire though, B&H also accepts SA credit cards but will
ask for scans to verify.

All this possible in real time using software?

It looks like my cheapest option is another Video Card (existing card has two outputs, 1 for Projector, 1 for projectionist to control things) and a Video capture card, then combine the input of the video capture card, and the text, and dump out onto the 3rd video card output, which can go to the second remote projector.

There is software such as Veescope that can process chroma key real time. It's not free, but it does have a trial period.
