Save your money.
Like me, you might be blowing steam from your arse at the prospect of a new RTS. Personally I've been waiting so long for someone to bring something new to the genre and Grey Goo promised to revolutionize warfare. What a load of poop.
2 of the factions are exactly alike, they only changed the artwork. To add insult to injury the units looks very similar inside each faction. The tank looks almost identical to the scout. And the level of complexity of the units and tech tree is that of Warcraft 1.
The Goo is an ADD 500 clicks per minute South Korean's wet dream, but not a lot of fun to play with or against. Insanely overpowered compared to the other 2 factions.
The graphics engine that all this runs on is mediocre at best. The only redeeming quality of this game is the rendered cutscenes which tug the story along nicely. And the South African accents on the aliens are a bit bizarre.
2 Hours is all I could muster. And so it seems we'll have to wait some more for the next great RTS.
