Grid (XBox 360) @ Kalahari

Its a problem with the Amray case design -- we check that there are no loose discs before we ship but sometimes they shake loose in transit.

If there are any problems pop the customer services guys a mail and we'll collect and ship another copy to you

As per my first post the 2 games I ordered from Play-Asia (in Hong Kong) and shipped via Economy Mail (i.e. the cheapest possible) arrived at the same time, both of which still sealed AND the discs secure in their boxes. How is it possible that my Kalahari order can arrive from "just around the corner" and be in such a state?

Methinks you need to have a word with your courier service ;)

EDIT: GRiD seems to be working just fine, so the scratches appear to be superficial.

I suspect SK is sending us resealed stock that was returned by another retailer that ordered too much over Xmas and who opened the packaging to insert magnetic tags or to store the discs seperately -- I will pull some units from the warehouse and investigate.

Let me know if there are any issues with the items with broken seals

I've chatted to my contact at Ster Kinekor and it looks like there is a good chance that we've been sent some resealed stock that was returned from a store.

Please give me a shout if any of the discs are not in perfect nick so that I can take it up with them.

If it is indeed resealed stock, I think the onus is on Kalahari (or whoever is selling it) to inform the customer of the fact. In the name of fair play and all that ;)

The comments here were the first I heard of this, I'm getting the warehouse to do an audit now to see how many units are actually resealed as its not the case for the whole shipment.

ok i got grid and unreal 3 delivered now, both opened disk are fine tho.

ordered mine last week Thursday with office Home and student, According to Kalahari, Grid has been received, from Supplier, I just hope it isn't an open copy. BTW I ordered it when it was 184, will my card be charged 184 or the new website price of 166?

I don't actually mind the seals being open, it was just a cause for concern. The games you buy from L&L and Musica et al are all unsealed with the discs removed and are generally in a much worse condition. Grid and UT3 were in mint condition, save for the fact that the seals were broken... I did quickly check for scratches (since my Grid disc was also loose in its case), but couldn't see any scratches. Granted, it was in a low-light environment... Just a side note: If having only the seal broken means I get games at these prices, then by all means - BREAK EVERY SINGLE SEAL! :p

But again, thanks to Kalahari for looking into this matter.

Thats why i ask them to see if they have an unopened copy, if they don't I don't buy

Just to let you people know it seems BT games have the same specials on. Just walked in to the one in Walmer and got GRID for R199..

My GRiD copy was sealed and untouched, mint condition as I would expect. No broken seal..

Thanks kalahari, good service. :)

Props to you too am_nesia, good to have a rep on the forum, albeit an unofficial one.

Reading these posts, I too recieved GRiD with the "certification of authenticity" seal broken and it had been vacuum sealed.

My grids seal was also broken, from BT games.

Pre-played I'll bet ......... when I got my Bioshock, I was told that it was pre-played and it was also scratch free and vacuum sealed.

the thing is the vacuum wrap still had the distributed by MI digital stickers on ! usually the preplayed games i buy from them comes in bubble wrap not vacuum wrap ! but it was a bargain so even if they supplied me a preplayed copy when they shouldnt have i'v enjoyed it. ;)
