Ive never had to pay 25.99 at Checkers for a slab of Chocolate.

Yet the one thing where Checkers beats PnP hands on is quality. PnP quality is down the drain. They even make OK look great. And thats where the difference comes in. You dont get the quality you pay for at Pick n Pay. Even just walking past the cake section, Checkers is miles ahead while you would only be served cream cakes at PnP you can enjoy baked cheesecakes that actually looks good at Checkers.

Also 30-40% back on your grocery shopping at Checkers vs 0% for Ucount members at PnP is a no brainer. I have totally dumped PnP for shopping and I know many has now started doing the same. There is no benefit for anyone on Ucount to shop at PnP.

But thanks, good research otherwise, still wont bother to buy at PnP mainly due to the quality and how dirty the stores always look.

Best places to shop?
1. Food Lovers
2. Checkers

PnP has become a shadow of its past. And yes I grew up with their flagstore PnP Claremont way back then. It was chalk and cheese different then.

Pick n Pay beats Checkers Sixty60 in grocery delivery showdown

Pick n Pay offered the best prices compared to Checkers, Spar, and Woolworths during a recent grocery delivery comparison, while delivering ahead of schedule.

MyBroadband tested grocery deliveries from the four major fast-moving consumer goods retailers to determine the fastest and cheapest service.
Not in my area. Checkers is always early and I always wait for PnP. And the PnP new app is so slow and sluggish and often the follow your driver is incorrect.

I tip them well always. Just last night our delivery driver's bike had a flat. He had to wait for hours in my driveway for a service vehicle to save him. I had a long chat with him while he had some snacks I'd brought out. Just his bike rental for the week is R550, add fuel on top of that. Now consider he might do 10 deliveries a day - he's not making much; still needs to eat, live and send money back to Burundi to care for his parents and family. A really good person, educated, driven and trying his best.
I learned a long time ago that helping people to better their lives yields far greater rewards and purpose. If you cling onto your cash it will feed into energy that acts in reverse. Count your blessings.

As a waiter at the age of 13 I learned that it isn't in african culture to tip, so I have come to respect that and I honour their culture by doing the same, unless the service was exceptional. But I am always careful to respect their culture as to not be labelled racist.

Tips I would receive from those with European heritage when I waitered many decades ago were always huge -sometimes 300%, and so I also honour their culture. Its the best thing to see it truly being appreciated by people working hard and really deserve it.

Get help.

As per usual when most people shop at one retailer, they start getting greedy and up their game. I won't be surprised if they charge more for groceries than Woolies in the next 5 years.

You're a strange one. I wouldn't waste my time trying to understand how your mind works, but I can say this; you'll never live in true abundance inside a hateful, selfish vacuum.

I am not surprised that you only see hate, each to their own
