I use Bring, it's really good and if you have an Apple Watch it works on the watch as well so you can tap the items as you get them. You basically add your list and tap the items as you buy them and they vanish. You can save lists as well if it is a common shop

I use this for the exact purpose OP wants. Can make a "tick" list via PC or phone that is shared. With all parties being able to tick items.

We use Anylist on iOS but looks like there is an Android version. Nice thing is it works with Alexa so items can be added via our Echo Dot.
