Anybody else noticing wild fluctuations in the price of fresh produce...almost as if the price labels are random?
Today I'm buying peppers...
R17 - 2 red, 2 yellow, 1 green - fresh
R18 - 2 yellow - wrinkled
Same shop...half a meter apart.
Same thing with fresh salad & mushrooms...also all over the place depending on the moon cycle and/or star alignment.
I usually don't eyeball prices all that hard, but lately I don't seem to have much of a choice on this front - taking the peppers example...you're not paying 10% more - you're getting screwed.
Oh and the above example is from a famous SA retailer...regulars will know which one...think Tafel.
