Food Lovers Menlyn (Not sure about others) has biltong on special for R149/kg. And it is actually pretty good.

Its decent enough quality... I bought 10 bags a few weeks ago.

The Montana Food Lovers had biltong for R109/Kg and droëwors for R99 last week.

Meat World has biltong for R119 tomorrow, Saturday 18/6/2016.

Thanks. My Food Lovers batch was finished off last night.

Will go stock up again and try Meat World.

You know if they have dryish pieces? I find with these big specials most of the pieces are still rather moist. Meaning less biltong and I also like them to be nice and chewy.

the weight is still the same dry or hard right
unless you make the biltong yourself
 
Woolworths had some good deals now and then, recently though their specials aren't special at all. :(

Some of their "Specials" currently:

Long Life Milk 6x1L @ R75 - Spar sells theirs at R65 nowadays on special (which is almost every other week)
Baby Soft Double Ply Toilet Paper 9Pk @ R 45 - R43 at PnP but cheaper if you buy a 18 pack at around R80 elsewhere (Superspar atm)
Milo 500g @ R46 - other places had it on special for R40 recently
2x 250g bacon @ R65 - seen it cheaper elsewhere (R20 for 200g Eskort at PnP atm)
Huggies Gold @ 170 - currently on special for around R150 at other places.
Sunflower Oil 750ml Buy 2 for R35 - bought some at spar at R15 per bottle last week.


I still like to buy fresh microwaveable bag veggies from them tho.

Last week they also had predominantly moist piecses but with a bit of persuasion they searched and found drier pieces. There were so many people that they didn't like to select special requests.

At 09h30 I was number 179 in the que but they had enough to keep everyone happy. Got half with some fat and bit moist for me and dry without fat for my SO.

Was at Baby City over the weekend. They have 2x Huggies Gold Jumbo packs at R299 with free pack of Huggies wipes (64).
