Grocery Specials Thread

~R180 for delivery in Cape Town or ~R231 for Somerset West. That is a bit steep.

Yeah about R100 for Centurion. Pity was actually a good deal until you factor in courier then it's just meh

Some nice specials at Checkers/Checkers Hyper Gauteng....

Housebrand 6 x 1l long life milk R59.99

Does anyone know if the specials at Lyndhurst Spar are genuine? They seem much too low,or perhaps we are used to being ripped off...

Braai wors, not boerewors. So yes, minimal meat, maximum filler

The specials at Lyndhurst is actually real. I passed them once just to check it out. Specials are real but they go relatively fast so yeah.

Packets of Broccoli for R99c? What's wrong with them?

Nothing. They explained how they buy produce direct from local farmers and just resell it. They do not make any profit on those products. They sell it at cost what the farmer sells it for.

Pretty good marketing. Gives customers good value for money. All locally produced products. Uplifts local farmers and when their customers buy other stuff in their store they make money there too. Win win situation all the way.

They rip the farmers off if that's what they paid. Usual sales price is much much higher (about 10 times+ higher).
