A ton of sugar for R7.40 @ Makro. Works out to R0.0185 per 2.5KG. Stock might be a problem though and delivery.,.,.,., yeah.

Not really what this thread is about but I have just been to our Hypermarket here called "Continente".

1 kg of chicken feet for about R9.00. Rough FX conversions.

1 Kg of pigs face. Yes. Deboned pigs head with ears and snout. R 15.00.

1 kg of smoked pig face. R 82.00.

1 kg of pig feet. R 9.00.

1 kg of pig guts cleaned. R 55.00.

Yes. The Poras devour the whole pig. Nothing goes to waste.

A bun with marinated and cooked pork ears is a hefty R35.00 but I bought one by mistake and I enjoyed it. So tender and succulent. I now buy them often but add greens and stuff to make a meal out of it.

The specials listed on the website for the store I visited differed to what they actually had on special when I got there. The store said the specials vary per store and couldn't explain why their website was showing something different.
