Group arrested for Woolies protest

Who cares what colour they are?
They make themselves trash by their actions and attempts to deprive law abiding people of their constitutional rights.
I am offended by your assumption and whining that, because they are "brown people", they are not subject to the same laws as are the rest of us.

Aha so people can be made into "trash" by various actions. So if you speed or break any law you're no longer a person with rights. Good one. Good thing we have that in our constitution.

And Muslims wonder why they are racially profiled?

Most Muslims will be people of colour in SA, unless one looks at parts of Eastern Europe or Asia where you will get Caucasian or Mongoloid Muslims.

Weird, ever since these protests started I have upped my woolies purchases to around 1k a week and as much as I search I can't really find any Israeli products.

How much of woolies is sourced in Israel, what was it, 0.1%.

I know they get some fresh produce, but so does fruit and veg and probably every other chain.

Actually from all the various supermarket groups woolies probably stock the least amount of Israeli produce.

I wonder if BDS are also going to start boycotting Jordanian products - Israelis have opened a few factories and one or two mega farms in Jordan, and are exporting all over the Arab world to bypass the Arab ban in effect since 1948. Also a huge textile plant in Egypt and chemical factory in Cyprus and an irrigation parts factory in Hungary, heck even their largest dairy company was recently purchased by our Chinese friends, so yeh, go lie on woolies floors :)

Israelis are well adapted to handling boycotts thrown at them, nothing new.

Yeah the protest makes little sense. There must be some other reason too, perhaps.

You're dodging the issue which is all about your feeling that "brown people", should not be subject to the same laws as are the rest of us and that their criminality should be accepted by society.

I presume that you also agreed with the thuggery that prevented thousands of school kids in the Northern Cape from going to school for several months, costing them a year of their lives?

Indeed, to put it into perspective, if you purchased 1000 items from woolies, only 1 might be from Israel.

Woolies are one of the chains that don't even have a kosher section, as those idiots from Cosas found out the hard way when they contaminated the halaal meat.

This protest is probably targeting woolies because they indeed hardly stock anything from Israel, so in theory they could easily go, meh fine, though I don't see why muslims feel the need to shove their opinions down other peoples throats.

If you want to boycott xyz, by all means do so, but **** off and leave the rest of us alone.

Brown people are people too. When you say these protesters who factually mostly are brown people are trash you're sending a very obvious message of hate and intolerance. These people already got arrested. There is no need to apply broomsticks to them either. And nobody, definitely not me, said that their tresspassing should go unpunished. But even people who break the law are not trash.

Stop dodging your nonsense. You messed up. You called these people, especially people of colour, trash, because they broke the law. Good one.

BS, the only person who brought colour into this is you and then you shout "racist" how damn pathetic.

These were mostly people of colour. He called them trash. It's all factual.

What's your point? You don't seem to have one.

You were the one that brought race into this thread.

So? Was I the one who called these people trash? And most of them are non-whites. Is mentioning their race not OK but calling the trash somehow OK?

Do you think it's OK to call those people trash? YES or NO. Come on Mickey, tell me.

If you are offended use the RBP button. Bringing race into the discussion causes further incitement.

Incitement? Why should he or she feel incited?

Do you think it's OK to call these people trash for lying down peacefully at Woolies?

They are trash regardless of their colour.
Not sure why you feel the need to bring up their skin colour as this has nothing to do with or even is a factor in determining that they, their actions and behaviour as trash?
Skin colour has nothing to do with this, why are you the only one bringing this up, over and over, racist much?
If they were all white, pink, orange, yellow, blue, black or brown, they still trash.

Yes a person's colour has in the past determined whether he or she was considered trash. And that hasn't died down yet. It goes both ways I don't dispute that. Like it or not but religious and political affiliations in SA are very racially divided.

The hateful reaction to a peaceful protest is quite astounding, calling people trash for lying down peacefully on placards in a store and later getting arrested for it is hardly tolerant, fair or just.

You're wasted here.
You're so dishonest that you should be in politics or the church.

I never used the word "trash" and the colour of the offenders never occurred to me but I still feel that people who feel an uncontrollable urge to throw themselves on the ground make themselves no different to all the other offensive stuff that might be lying around.
