Hey guys

I am thinking of expanding my import bussiness to add some goods and save some money for everyone that is part of the group import. More on the save money bit later.

I currently send goods down from the USA every week or so, this is mainly trading cards atm, this does not take up much space atm, hence looking to expand and add more people to the imports. There comes a stage where the addtional weight does not add much too the cost. This allow everyone that is part of the import to save on costs.

Currently the shipments are at 20kg, I am looking at making the shipments 30kg at a time and then make them weekly and maybe even twice a week! Also maybe looking at 2x15kg shipments a week.

Currently it cost me R2500 per 20kg box to send down to South Africa. Your more then welcome to try and beat this price, I have tried and it really can't find a cheaper price for this.

I use Nybox service in the USA to group all the parcels together and send them down with aramex. Aramex is not the quickest, but they are by far the cheapest and I have manage to get customs sorted, so total process time is about 3 weeks give or take. I do have the option of fedex and DHL, but cost is almost double of aramex.

The address in the USA is tax free so you allready save 8% on your purchases compared to services like aramex global shopper. The price you see on amazon and ebay is the price you would pay.

Here is the tracking numbers for the last few shipments, so that you can see the timeline:
33262876323
33262721111
33262702174
You can track these on aramex website.

Want to join? Here is the options I am offering.
You can send me link of what you want like to import, I can quote you the price including the item and shipping.

I can quote you just on shipping and customs, I will then just send you my address to use, and you can buy the item yourself and have it shipped to the USA address. This is what most people prefer to do, due to people bidding on ebay etc.

Let me know if you guys need anymore info, but I am pretty sure I can save you some bucks on imports :)

Can recommend Gtx Gaming for imports! Just received my first parcel. Much faster than Aramex Global Shopper, economical and frequent updates received.

How exactly is the customs calculated ? Say I want to import an pair of headphones and jeans both have different import duties and weight ?

.... will you be importing some of them sweet sweet CPUs again?

I am still rockin' the same i7-6700 I got from you afaik. It is like 4/5 years old and it might be time for an upgrade . . .

Those were never imported by me, not sure why we not getting them anymore.

I think it stopped after I7 7700, the cheap R3000 cpu's. There was a batch I7 9700k For R4000 in sealed box from the same dealer, but nothing since.

I had a few requests for used goods from Ebay/Amazon renewed.

I can purchase and bring it in, but not used goods that has batteries inside like tablets or phones.
They have be be brand new sealed to be able to ship with aramex.

DHL does ship used goods with batteries, for 45 dollars per shipment extra and then the normal DHL Cost.
Just learned this hardway with a 2nd hand iphone, had to cough up some extra bucks on the current shipment, but atleast with DHL I know it will be here next week !

PotterH on Carb?

@Gtx Gaming, worth using your services to bring stuff in from Amazon? they're pretty efficient, not sure if I could still save?
Is your offer only worthwhile one wants to bring in heavier stuff?
Indeed amazon direct shipping to SA normally works out cheaper, I can't compete with those prices :)

Though goods like Echo devices etc, only ships to a USA address.

If you don't have an importers code, you are limited to 3 imports per year, cause SARS wanna be like that.. using gtx here, you can bypass this limit, as he clears goods under his importers code..

Yup, 3 times a year with a total of R20k for the year
