I'm so Goth, my wrists slit themselves
So after 37 years I decided the hell with the norm I am growing a beard.Took 4 weeks but have a lovely goatee :D
I always shaved every second day on the 3rd day it started irritating me, doesn't matter the time of day I just decided this is it I want a beard, my head is balding slightly, and I want some hair back even if it means on my face only.:D

I am quite tall, and usually keep my hair shaven shortish, so a fully fledge beard would be out of the question so had a look at what beards tall guys have and decided goatee would best serve me.My brother asks who researches beards.
Why not ? The response was some mumbling about you just grow a beard and job done, he has a soul patch and after looking at my goatee he has some beard envy, said some thing about growing a goatee him self.

I hate hair on my upper lip, wanted to give the anchor a go, but decided goatee will do best and I can at least drink beer, and stuff without the foam getting stuck in my beard.I haven't decided on how long I want to grow it, 10cm or so would be perfect with my length.

Got some thing going on like this. I am quite curious to see if there are any other beard growers on the forum.

I use a beard trimmer once a week. Trim it really short. TBH I don't like goatees.

I quite tall so a full beard will be out of the question, trimming slim beards is too much of a hassle honestly, goatee like perfect I had thin lines that went up to the mouth and across the lips, but that also looked like high maintenance, not that I am lazy, just want some thing neat fits my height and easy to maintain. ;)

I wish I could grow a lumberjack beard, but it's all patchy. I guess I'm just a soy boy.

Why can’t tall guys grow full beards?

I grew out my beard at 19, now almost 30 and I have had it for the last 11 year. Getting over the initial itchiness is key, once that passes its never a problem again. I now just shave with barber clippers on a number 3 and shape using a razor :)

My skin has always got very rough when I've let the whiskers grow for a week or two. I wonder if someone here has had a beard for years, and then shaved it - and what the skin was like right then.
